*Offshoring Inc. Wants YOU! Authorized Reseller Agreement *

Offshoring Inc., the number one staff-leasing services provider and the most promising BPO firm today, is always on the lookout for fresh opportunities for growth. In line with this innovative spirit, it will soon launch the Authorized Reseller Agreement (ARA). ARA basically allows 3rd party to sell Offshoring Inc.'s services, which creates huge advantages for the reseller.

ARA: A Quick Rundown

Offshoring Inc. is bringing back and invigorating the Authorized Reseller Agreement as part of the ongoing effort to increase its sales efficiency. The best candidate, which will get the position of Offshoring Inc.'s reseller, will have the great opportunity to sell the products and services of the trailblazing BPO company. The reseller stands to gain a lot by simply getting more clients access to the best staff-leasing services provider in the industry.

To be eligible as a reseller, interested parties should have technical expertise and resources for the crucial role. Once chosen, Offshoring Inc. will completely support the reseller in its sales efforts by providing them with all the materials, knowledge and technical specifications necessary to sell their products and services to potential clients. Meanwhile, the reseller has the responsibility to closely work with Offshoring Inc. through the entire duration of the contract to ensure that both parties' interests are upheld. Offshoring Inc. will sift through candidates to determine which has the most potential to keep up with its world-class competitive spirit.

*Sales Function Moved to the Philippines *

Offshoring Inc. has two headquarters: one in Atlanta, Georgia and another in Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Philippines. To speed up the processing of clients and potential clients, Offshoring's management has decided to move its sales function from the US to the Philippines. The new local Sales Department was established at the Tycoon Centre Condominium, the site of Offshoring Inc.'s Philippine offices, with the aim of increasing the overall efficiency of the company.

Faster, More Effective Sales

Mr. Angelito A. Cruz, Chief Operating Officer of Offshoring Inc. explained the need for the relocation of the sales function. According to him, the bulk of administrative work is handled in the Philippines, so relocating sales to the country would make processing so much faster because sales would be in touch with other departments such as Talent Acquisition and Employee Care (Please see article “New Names for Offshoring's HR and Recruitment Departments”).

“Instead of just one person, we have a team, a separate department for sales,” said Mr. Cruz. There is occasionally a problem of information transfer delay between sales and other departments with the current set-up. The relocation will get rid of this problem and will make sales more effective and dynamic.

A Dedicated Team for Local Sales Department

“The Sales Department is composed of 3 people, 2 staff, and a head,” Mr. Cruz said. The team has a number of responsibilities, including total sales, after sales marketing, sales website, client relations, and SEO / SEM among others. Their office is on the 27th floor of Tycoon Centre Condominium, nearby Offshoring's other departments to increase the speed of workflow.

Offshoring Inc. plans to maintain its US office by reserving it for accounting purposes. In the end, clients, potential clients and employees all stand to gain from the planned set-up. Interested parties will have all the information they want instantly while the improved effectivity of sales should ultimately benefit employees.

Aside from the relocation of its sales function, Offshoring Inc. had also changed the names of its HR and Recruitment departments, replacing them with Employee Care and Talent Acquisition respectively. These actions are all aimed at boosting the efficiency of the organization so Offshoring Inc. will continue to be the number one staff-leasing services provider in the industry.

*New Names for Offshoring's HR and Recruitment Departments *

Sometimes, the road to efficiency begins with a simple change of names to properly describe what tasks each unit in an enterprise performs. With this idea in mind, Offshoring Inc.'s management has decided to change the names of its HR and Recruitment Departments. Offshoring Inc.'s HR Department is now called Employee Care Department while the Recruitment Department is now called Talent Acquisition Department.

Big Announcement During iWebmonsters

The big announcement was made through an AVP played during the iWebmonsters 2009 party at the 5th floor pantry of Tycoon Centre Condominium, Offshoring Inc.'s headquarters. Mr. Paul Christian C. Ruiz, now Senior Manager for Employee Care and Talent Acquisition, announced through a Halloween-themed AVP that HR and Recruitment are now virtually gone. In the short AVP, Mr. Ruiz said:

“Traditionally, if you look at other companies, Recruitment is part of HR. But here in Offshoring, Recruitment is a very important part of the whole company. It's through recruitment that we are able to hire the staff that we offer to our clients.”

“So to separate HR and Recruitment, we are renaming the two departments. This will also describe their responsibilities better. HR will now be officially called Employee Care Department because it takes care of employees’ needs. Meanwhile, Recruitment will now be known as Talent Acquisition Department because it's responsible for hiring new talents for the company.”

“We really think that this will greatly improve admin's services.”

With the change in names comes the task of updating all official documents. Mr. Angelito A. Cruz, Chief Operating Officer of Offshoring Inc., had already ordered the immediate update of all policies and other documents. His decision to change the names of HR and Recruitment was a response to the frequent problem of people mixing up the duties and tasks of both. The complete name change should lead to better allocation of resources and direction to each department, leading to greater overall efficiency of Offshoring's administration.

Aside from the name change, Offshoring Inc. is also establishing its local Sales Department soon. These efforts not only confirm Offshoring Inc.'s dedication to be the role model for efficient business processes, but also reiterate the company's passion for continuous innovation.

* Offshoring Inc.'s Employees Observe All Souls' Day and All Saints' Day *

Every 1st and 2nd of November, Filipinos commemorate their beloved dead relatives and revered saints by observing All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day respectively. This year, All Saints' Day fell on a Sunday while All Souls' Day fell on a Monday, so Offshoring Inc.'s employees had the opportunity to do their annual rituals and activities on a long weekend. Like other Filipinos, many employees went to their provinces to go with their families to cemeteries where their dead relatives rest in peace. Flowers were laid next to headstones or on top of tombs and candles were lit to honor those who passed away now believed to be in the presence of God. Employees of Offshoring Inc., the number one staff-leasing services provider in the industry, had different experiences of the deeply spiritual weekend.

A Time to Bond with the Family

The departed may be honored on All Souls' Day, but it is the living family that takes center stage during the commemoration. Filipino families take the time to reunite during this special holiday, peacefully talking and eating at cemeteries, some even building tents for the night. Reycard P. Limbing, Graphic Designer for TotemCash, spent some quality time with his family.

This long weekend was busy. Friends and family came and spent Saturday night at my apartment. Sunday, it was All Saints' Day and I spent time with my family, uncle, aunt, and two cousins. After having lunch, we watched a movie. We then headed to Camp Aguinaldo where we usually have our Sunday mass. After a quick dinner, I rushed to Patero's Garden Cemetery to visit my grandfather and grandmother.”

While everyone tries to go to cemeteries to remember the departed, there are still some who can't because of their tight schedules. Julieta G. Maraguinot, Junior Writer for Plymouth, took part in the commemoration in her own modest way. “I didn't get the chance to come to the cemetry, only my mom and dad. I stayed home because that night, I had work and took a rest. I just went to church and prayed for them before I went to the office,” she said.

Beliefs on the Afterlife

Majority of Filipinos are Roman Catholics but the rich history and culture of the nation have resulted in different beliefs on death and the afterlife. Christopher S. Sony, Master Programmer of Content Creations believes that the dead are not so peaceful and quiet during All Souls' Day.

“In previous years, I've always felt that some of my dead relatives were visiting during this occasion; but this year is different and I did not feel any strange or creepy thing during the night of November 1st. Also, I never forget to switch on the lights for protection against unexpected guests.” For Christopher, lighting candles every 6:00 AM is enough to respect the dead. Going to the cemetery is a big no-no. “In our family, we don’t go to the cemetery. It is creepy to see the tombs of dead people.”

However, Jether M. Sarraga, Intermediate Graphic Designer for Search and Social and Big Dave Media, does not agree with this view of afterlife at all. To him, all spirits are already in heaven, not on earth haunting people. I understand others' point of view regarding All Souls' Day and I respect it because it's important to them. But I don't really celebrate any non-biblical celebration like All Souls' Day because there's no way to communicate with the spirit of the dead. The real spirit of the dead has returned to the source of human life – the Almighty God.”

Although Offshoring Inc.'s employees had different experiences of All Souls' Day and All Saints' Day; they all agree that remembering the departed is very important. “It is a way to show our dead relatives that we love them even though they're in the afterlife,” said Christopher. “Actually, we should not only remember our loved ones who passed away every All Souls' Day. They should be in our prayers everyday,” said Julieta.

* IWebmonsters 2009: A Brilliant, Blood-Spattered Party! *

Cornelia, Talent Acquisition Assistant hosted the morning program. The program started with a classic “bring me” game.
