No Income, No Job, No Problem Forgive me for shamelessly ripping-off this satirical statement by Dylan Ratigan but I think we do really have a problem – the American Dream has turned out to be the Biggest American Nightmare of the year. Now that America is caught between Scylla and Charybdis,we must tighten our belts, don't give in to that mouth-watering loan offers and most of all, save up! Things that made our economy stronger are also the diseases that eventually kill it everyday. America likes spending so much that it relies too much on credits. Credit this, credit that, swipe here, swipe there, swipe everywhere. The result? Both good and bad. Good for companies and establishments because they have an influx of revenues and bad on banks because they have an influx of debts plus the curse of Subprime Mortgages that overshadowed the impending disorder. We all know what caused the Great Depression of 2008. But what we don't know is how to solve it. Well, we can start by -
There is no doubt that risk takers are those people who often succeed. But risk takers without basic precautions are those people who usually fail. This is what happened to Lehman Bros., Meryll Lynch, and AIG. Read more here. As the saying goes, if something goes bad, it's because good people aren't doing anything. Read more here.
